Privacy policy
This policy explains what Delta Negative stores about you when you use an account, why, and how to get it deleted. The responsible party is Delta Negative. Contact: support@deltanegative.com.
The short version
- The free tier needs no account and sends us nothing.
- Your setups, telemetry, history, replays and lap library stay on your PC. They are uploaded only when you share an item with friends or a group, and then only that item.
- Card details never reach us. Payments are handled by the payment provider.
- You can export your data and delete your account at any time.
What we store
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Discord, Google or Steam account id and display name, and for Discord and Google an email | Sign-in and your account | Until you delete the account |
| PC name, operating system, app version and a device public key | One active PC, and support | Until you delete the account or remove the PC |
| A hash of hardware identifiers | One trial per PC | Kept after you delete your account, as a hash that cannot be turned back into the hardware identifiers, so a trial cannot be repeated |
| IP address and country, in server logs | Security and rate limits | 90 days |
| Orders: plan, amount, currency, date, payment reference and payment email | Purchases, refunds and tax | As long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you delete your account |
| Discord Linked Roles token | Keeping your Discord role current | Until you unlink it or delete the account |
| Friend code, tag, search setting, friends, requests, invite links, blocks and lists | Friends | Until removed, or you delete the account |
| Groups you own or belong to, and your role | Groups | Until you leave, or you delete the account |
| Items you send or publish: the item itself, its title, note, and its game, car and track | Sharing | 7 days at most, unless your plan includes longer; sooner if imported, dismissed or removed; deleted with the account |
| Reports you make or that concern you, and what was done | Handling reports | Kept as a record of the decision, and for as long as a legal matter requires |
| Your stats card: best laps and pace per track and class with their dates, race results, contacts per race, and which days you raced over 26 weeks | Comparing with friends and groups | Until you turn stats sharing off or delete the account |
| Anonymous usage counts | Which features people use | Aggregated, never linked to an account |
What other people see
- Friends see your name and tag, and the library items you let them see. Lists are seen only by you.
- Members of a group see each other’s names and tags, and the group’s library.
- Search shows your name and tag only if you turned it on. Your email, sign-in ids and PC names are never shown to other people.
- A shared reference lap carries the driver name unless the sender removes it.
- Your stats card goes to your friends and groups by default. You can turn it off, limit it to lists, or leave sections out. Your history itself never leaves your PC.
- Shared items are encrypted in transit and stored on our server. They are not end-to-end encrypted.
Copies a friend already imported stay on their PC after an item is unsent or removed, or after you delete your account.
Who else handles data
Paystack (payments), Discord, Google and Steam (sign-in), Cloudflare (our website, release downloads, backups and the network in front of our server) and the company that hosts our server. Our server and these providers may be outside South Africa, where the data is processed under their own terms.
Your rights
You can see, export, correct and delete what we hold. Use "Download my data" and "Delete account" on your account page, or contact us. Deleting an account needs a fresh sign-in, stops Premium at once, and completes after 14 days; signing in during that time cancels it. On completion we delete your account, sign-ins, PCs and Discord role data. The audit log is anonymised. Orders are kept without a link to you.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal information, you can complain to South Africa's Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
Cookies
The account page sets one sign-in session cookie. There are no tracking cookies.
Age
You must be at least 13, the minimum age of Discord, Google and Steam.
